Swing Gate Kits

Swing gate kits provide everything needed to make an existing or new manual gate into an automatic electric gate. It is possible to buy the individual components of a kit individually but this is usually more expensive. Buying a kit also ensures that the gate motors, control panel, safety photocells, transmitters and receiver all work together out of the box.

Gate automation kits can be bought for single gate leaf or double swing gates. There are a few types of electric gate openers to chose from but gate kits will include the essential components for gate automation.

Remote controls are used to signal the control panel via the receiver to instruct the gate openers to operate. A single motor is required to move each gate leaf so a set of double gates need two and single gates require just one motor. Safety photocells are included in electric gate systems to create a zone where the moving gates are instructed to stop if anyone or anything passes into that area.

Electric gates are not like sliding gates which are all automated with the same type of operators. In a swing gate installation, these gate openers can be designed for underground installation or above ground depending on the type chosen. An underground system will require suitable drainage so the price is usually higher.
