Sliding gates are moved by sliding gate motors. Any electric gate that slides open and closed uses the same type of gate operator. So, it doesn't matter if you have a single gate that runs on a track across your driveway, a pair of bi-parting gates that slide open from the middle, or a cantilever gate that doesn't need a track; They all use the same type of gate opener.
Sliding gate automation systems allow you to open and close your sliding gate at the touch of a button. They can be specified for intensive use, for heavy sliders or for high speed operation. And they are as perfect for residential customers as they are for installation at industrial and commercial properties.
Gate kits provide everything an installer needs for a gate automation system. This includes the motor, pair of safety photocells, control panel, two remote transmitters and receiver, plus rack for installation on the gate.
The motor housing is simple with only a single toothed cog protruding from it. This is meshed against a toothed rack that runs the length of the gate. When the motor turns, the cog rotates against the rack and pulls the gate open or pushes it closed depending on the direction of motor operation.
Power output required is determined by the weight of the gate and the motor Voltage can be 230 or 24 Volts.
