Articulated arm gate kits

Articulated arm gate openers are used to open and close single or double-swing electric gates. They're great for use on wide or deep pillars and are automatic gate systems that are relatively simple to install.

For this type of automation, the operators comprise a housing that contains the drive motor, and a jointed arm. At one end the arms are connected to the output shaft at the base of the motor housing. The other ends are mounted on the gate.

As the automation motor rotates the output shaft, the swing gate is pushed towards or away from the opening. As it moves away, it pulls the gate leaf open. Moving towards it pushes it closed.

An articulated or jointed arm operator kit contains gate automation motors, control panel, remote controls, receiver and safety photocells. This type of swing gate opener works well on thicker gate posts because the arms allow for installation further from the plane of the gates.

Swing gates can be automated with a range of gate automation systems but articulated arm operators are strong and relatively simple.

Buying an electric gate kit will also give you everything you need at a better price than buying gate automation motors and accessories individually.
